Hydrology Network (GTN-H) Data Access
Data Availability:
Data are available online. Online Hydrological and Meteorological data are available on most of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Hydrology and Water Resources Programme (HWRP) sites and sub-sites for 6 regions: Africa, Asia, South America, North and Central America, South and West Pacific and Europe. Other WMO sponsored global databases are the International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre (IGRAC) which is located in the Netherlands, the Global Runoff Data Centre (GRDC), and the Global Precipitation Climatology Centre (GPCC) which are both located in Germany."

Global Level:
- The National Hydrological Services (NHS) collects data from 475,000 hydrological stations worldwide: Africa, Asia, South America, North and Central America, South and West Pacific and Europe. These stations have web sites but some have no online data. [Most sites are available in English]

- The Global Runoff Data Centre (GRDC) provides river discharge data on global scale, and data products and specialized services for the research community, water managers and water-related programs of the specialized agencies of the United Nations.

The Global Precipitation Climatology Centre (GPCC) data products are grid analyses of quality-controlled data measured by rain gauges. These products cover the earth's land surface only. The grid precipitation data are complemented by the number of rain gauges for each grid cell as well as correction factors for systematic measuring errors. Precipitation anomaly with regard to normals 1961-90 is also available. The spatial resolution of these products is both, 2.5° by 2.5° as well as 1° by 1° geographical latitude and longitude.

Regional Level:
- World Hydrological Cycle Observation System (WHYCOS) provides online global hydrological information. Regional components are presently being implemented in the Mediterranean Basin, and in Western and Central Africa:
- MED-HYCOS data are available on the Mediterranean Hydrological Information System data server for 94 stations in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Jordan, Malta, FYR Macedonia, Morocco, Slovenia, Turkey, and Tunisia.
