The GOOS National Activities Summaries of
Operational & Planned Observation Programs
The following national summaries have been prepared based on the GOOS information obtained from national and international centers, principle investigators, various GOOS technical reports and the GOOS national contributions and future commitment statements. The summaries form the basis for documenting, tracking and assessing national activities. Summaries are kept current in cooperation with the GOOS national contacts.
Summaries cover: Moorings, ARGO, Sea Level, XCTD/XBT/TSG, TS Hydrography, VOS, Sea Ice, Satellites, Black Sea, BOOS, NEAR-GOOS, Bio/Chem, Carbon, and Coastal observations and more.
This tracking activity, recommended by the Chairman of the GOOS Scientific Steering Committee, was initially supported by UNESCO/IOC and subsequently by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
